Today’s date, there came the news that Nokia has decided to abandon the development and support of Skype for Windows Phone Lumia 610.
According to the well-known Finnish producer in question, the smartphone has low Ram for this reason it was decided to abandon the development of famous Voip software. We present below, the official statement:
Our main goal is to enhance the user experience for this reason we have decided to discontinue the development of Skype on the Nokia 610 Lumia because after a thorough testing we found that the offer is not on par with expectations. In the future, those who own a Nokia Lumia 610 will not be able to download updates to Skype from the Marketplace.
For those who don’t know this smartphone is equipped with an 800 Mhz processor with 256 MB of Ram, unlike the models currently available on the market with 1 GHz processor and at least 512 Mb of Ram, in fact Nokia ensures everyone who smartphone with at least 512 MB of Ram that can sleep on 7 pillows because Skype will continue to be updated.
