Nokia Lumia 900 is one of the latest Smartphones from Nokia for the series Lumia, featuring Windows Phone operating system 7.5 Tango. Simple design and certainly very appealing, we’ve got to have the smartphone to your hands, here’s what our impressions.
The dimensions of the Nokia 900 is pretty important Lumia: it is a height of 127.8 mm for a width of 68.5 mm, a thickness of only 11.5 mm and weighs 160 grams. It follows that the screen is very large (and convenient to view multimedia contents): we’re talking about a capacitive touchscreen AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass by 4.3 inches with a resolution of 480 × 800 pixels that takes the entire surface of the phone, integrating perfectly in the body. The smartphone’s surface is then completed by the three touch buttons located at the bottom of the screen, while the right side contains the volume adjustment buttons, stand-by/power and for the camera, automatically activated at any time.
The Pack has supplied as accessories the paperclip microSIM extraction, the feeder design with USB plug and USB/MicroUSB cable, standard 3.5 mm headphones.
As for the power, the smartphone is equipped with a single-core processor Snapdragon Qualcom at 1.4 GHz MSM8255 processor which allows it to be pretty responsive when using applications or multimedia functions, as well as in web browsing. However occasionally we happened to witness the crash while using Youtube, as you can see in Photo Gallery. By switching to memory, the Nokia Lumia 900 is equipped with 512 MB of ram and 16 GB of storage, no memory expansion slot with microSD.
The camera is 8 megapixels with Carl Zeiss Optics and dual led flash on the back. We experimented with various light situations, and photos we have appeared particularly sharp and defined, with no particular noise. The photos have a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, while with regard to recorded videos in HD quality, the maximum resolution is 1080 x 720 pixels at 30 fps. The Nokia Lumia 900 is also equipped with front-facing camera from 1 megapixel, usable for self-portraits and video calls.
The operating system of Nokia Lumia is 900 version Windows Phone: Mango Tango than is immediately apparent the possibility to take advantage of tethering, or share your internet connection with other devices, while continuous with Mango remains integration with social networks and voice commands to write and send messages. Between existing applications such as internet browser is IE 9 and an email client with full HTML support, in addition to the Nokia app dedicated to navigation such as Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive and those dedicated to Music and entertainment as Nokia Nokia Reading.
The smartphone’s battery is from 1830 mAh and, despite having been very stressed with the massive use of streaming video and use of internet browsing and other app, manning a workday without any particular problems.
Pros and cons of Nokia phone: 900 Lumenia view undoubtedly fascinating design and sound quality and a photo grants a considerable attention to quality care, as well as the processor, despite being a singlecore, did not give any particular problems (investigate why YouTube has occasionally raised those crash). Cons about sicuremente the little customization possibilities due to the operating system, the integrated battery case obliged to bring in assistance the phone, and the lack of ability to expand the memory.
The Nokia Lumia 900 is therefore one smartphone with excellent performance, with great attention to design and multimedia, and is available in stores at a cost of 599 euros.
